Aromapsychology is an innovative method that utilizes aromatherapy to create a harmonious mental and emotional state, tailored to the surrounding conditions. By harnessing the power of essential oils, aromapsychology quickly and effectively helps individuals achieve their desired psychological outcomes.
Key Principles of Aromapsychology:
Client's Choice of Essential Oils: Clients select essential oils based on their preferences.
Associative Testing: Conducting tests to understand the client’s associations with different scents.
Method of Application: Determining the most suitable way to use the selected oils.
Course Evaluation: Regularly assessing the results of the aromatherapy sessions.
Aroma Assessment: a subset of aromapsychology, that involves diagnosing emotional states through the use of essential oils. How I Conduct the Testing
Aroma diagnostics involves assessing your mental state through essential oils, leveraging their bioregulatory properties.
Here’s the step-by-step process:
Initial Selection: Clients choose essential oils (EOs) based on their immediate preference. Each individual intuitively selects the scent they need most.
Diagnostic EOs: We use a variety of EOs, ideally a set of 30-35, with higher effectiveness at 60, and a maximum impact set of 80.
Complaint Analysis: We start by understanding your main complaints, then offer EOs that align with these issues.
Preference Ranking: You’ll rank the EOs by how pleasant you find them.
Top Choices: Identify the most preferred oil, followed by ranking six more, with the top four being the most crucial.
Familiarization: We introduce you to the aromas using oil caps.
Labeling: All oils are marked with stickers or labels for easy identification.
Neutral Environment: The testing room and accessories are kept in neutral tones without distractions like music, additional scents, or noise.
During the Assessment
Throughout the testing, preliminary results are evaluated based on changes in your psychological state. The group of EOs used, their dosage, and application methods may be adjusted depending on the assessment dynamics. Key indicators include your subjective assessment and the progression of clinical symptoms.
Restoration: Use basil to refresh your sense of smell when needed.
Breaks: Take pauses if you become fatigued during the process.
Green Tea: Drinking green tea is allowed as it helps clear olfactory receptors.
Follow-Up Assessments
Initial Testing: We adhere to a 21-day rule, allowing oils to accumulate in the body and exert their effects.
Subsequent Testing: We evaluate changes, note improvements, and adjust the aroma program as needed.
Precautions
EOs can be combined with medications (except homeopathy).
We conduct an allergy test before beginning.
For pregnant clients, we exclude spicy and camphor oils.
For children under 12, we avoid masculine and feminine EOs.
Drink plenty of water on the test day.
Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before testing.
No smoking on the test day.
Prevent EOs from contacting your eyes.
Do not apply citrus EOs to the skin before sun exposure.
